A Week in Pictures

Here are a few pics from this week. Logan tried out my family bassinet - it has housed many Smith babies dating back to my Dad's time.... at 2 months old, Logan barely fits.

This is the closest picture of a smile that I have been able to get.

He Might Just Be Mine

My mom found this picture of me at around 1.5 months, and if I squint just right - Logan looks like me. At least those cheeks are looking familiar.

The truth is I wouldn't even mind if he looked just like his father.

Eat, Drink & Be Married

Over the past weekend, my brother and his lady tied the knot. We ended up with the perfect amount of sunshine and rain to get the party started. I want another piece of that red velvet cake. Here are some pics of the big day - complete with Logan in his suit and tie. Hope the newlyweds are enjoying themselves in Hawaii - jealous!

Logan's 2nd Month

The little man had a big month - aside from moving to a new state, he has met so many of his favorite auntie's, uncle's and cousins. He is truly loved by so many great people. He is growing so big, we haven't had his official 2nd month appt yet, but I am guessing he is around 14 lbs or so. He is learning how to smile and we are seeing lots of gums... this boy is a lady killer. Logan is still a great baby - he sleeps and eats with no problem. He is strong and loves to do "baby squats" on Mom's lap and loves to look around outside. He still loves the bath and is destined to be a water baby. We love this little boy.

A Beach Day

This past weekend, we decided to take a quick trip to our beach house in Lincoln City. Its our first time back in a while and Logan's first time to the Oregon coast. Admittedly it was a bit rushed but we did manage to squeeze in a stroll on the beach and some fish and chips for me. Its was beautifully sunny, which is rare and we enjoyed every minute. Probably the last time we will see the sun over here until next summer.

There was a lot of unpacking and getting settled, but here are a few shots that keep us smiling.

Nursery Preview

So I am finally able to let some creative juices flow - in a very small little room that I once occupied as a child. However, now its painted a quiet shade of blue, something I would have never agreed to back then. Here are a few shots of our nursery in progress. We are still waiting on the dresser to arrive and some new blinds. Can't wait to see the whole thing completed and for Logan to finally have a space all to himself. Here are some shots of our work in progress and Logan enjoying his new crib.

We Made It...

To Portland... and it wasn't all that bad. 15 hours in the car with a 7 week old could sound daunting, but our little man did great with only a few peeps from the back seat. We stopped in Sacramento and hung with a few lovely ladies on our way and continued home the next day. We spent all weekend unpacking and here we are. It's hard to believe that everything we were planning for all summer long is here - namely our baby and our move to P-town. But on the cusp of this new adventure, we are both sad and missing our California bestie's and excited about what is in store for us in our new town.
