Brynn Elise - 5 Months

I'm a few days late, but its because we are trying to soak every last day of summer.  As our sunny days wind down, my girl is really starting interact with everyone and everything.  She has discovered toys and how much fun they can be, she puts her toes in her mouth, rolls from back to tummy and simply adores her brother and all his crazy smothering! She is out of the swaddle this month and sleeping better than ever.  She is enjoying being entertained by all the places we go everyday, any people watching is good stuff. Our girl is a just a delight and I can't wait to see what she's up to next! 

Brynn Elise - 4 Months

I can't believe that Brynn in already 4 months old, I feel like I have been saying that too much.  I really am trying to soak it all up, but no matter what I do, every time I turn around she is doing something new. She is a busy girl putting weight on her legs, holding toys, chewing fingers, watching big brother and growing, growing, growing.  She talks, sings and giggles all the time and they are the cutest noises ever.  And because seeing the comparisons is so fun, I put up a few oldies from Logan's 4 month update.  Still looking a whole lot alike, which is cool with me!

 

  

Our 4th of July

Last year on the 4th of July, we found out that Brynn would be joining the family.  What a difference a year makes!  We had such a fun day, complete with the neighborhood bike parade, cookout and of course fireworks!  Logan got to pick a few out this year and they did not disappoint.  We let him stay up extra late to see the after dark version and I'm pretty sure he will remain a big fan of the 4th just like his mama.  Brynn hit the sack early and slept through all the crazy bangs but I'm sure next year she will be in on the action!

Brynn Elise - 3 Months

I can't believe that I am already writing her 3 month update.  We have made a lot of strides this month.  Little lady is waking up only once at night and taking some pretty regular naps in her crib.  Both of which make me love her lots and lots.  She is a smiley girl who loves to chatter (must be a family trait), and contrary to the beginning, she now loves to be naked! Bath and jammie time are her favorite, she will giggle and coo as much as I ask.  She loves her brother despite his always being about 1 inch from her face and turns her head towards voices that walk in the room.  This month she took her first flight and did great!  She met lots of her California friends and family and even went to the beach for the first time! What a delight my baby girl is, I feel so lucky to have her.

Brynn Elise - 2 Months

I can't get enough of this baby!  Those cheeks and her new eyelashes are killing me.  She is smiling all the time (never for the camera) but loves when you goo-goo to her!  She has really established herself in our family and fits right in with the rest of our crazy train.  All together she is a happy and mellow baby:  never skips a meal, likes music and cuddles and seems pretty smitten with her brother.  She is sleeping great and growing like crazy.  Seems like with Logan I was documenting every first and now I am documenting every last.  Our last first smile and our last newborn, it's a little bittersweet.  I am enjoying her so much!

Easter

We have a fun Easter week, it started with a neighborhood egg hunt and party, fully loaded with lots of candy and sugar melt-downs!  But the kids had a great time!  And we had our own version on the actual day complete with new trumpet and tractor fork from the bunny himself.
