Climbing High!!

My boy is getting pretty bold at the play ground these days, and when we hit up a new park with a rock wall up to the slide, it was a no-brainer.  Daddy taught him how to climb, and he was hooked.  I was practicing all the heart attacks its going to give me!

Last Day of Pre-School

It may not be the last we see of pre-school (we have 2 more years in the making) but it was the last day of Mommy and Me school and that made it kinda sentimental for me.  It started a little rocky, but really grew on me.  Watching Logan make new friends and really look forward to his school days made it all worth it.  We took a school bus ride on our last day and the kids all thought it was the coolest, and it was!

We survived...

I should really say that I survived, because my kid barely even let a tear fall....  it was out first ER visit, together!  I did my best to keep myself together as I saw my little babe's face split open and he did his best to sit still through stitches.  Together, we made quite the pair.  I can officially say this now, as a mother, it hurt just as bad to watch him go through that.  I never quite understood, but I do now, the pit in my stomach when he is running full speed down hill or the sick feeling when he is standing too close to the edge.  Its terrible and wonderful at the same time, to love someone so much that you have physical pain for them.   Let's hope we don't have to head back anytime soon, that was enough excitement for a long time!

What We Have Been Up To...

We took a quick flight over the pacific to a beautiful island, full of Aloha spirit!  We were privileged enough to celebrate some special milestones with family and spend lots of sun filled days hanging out on the beach with sandy toes.  My kid will never be the same, he is likely spoiled for life with warm water and crystal clear pools of salt water.   I'm so glad we got the chance to share this kind of vacation with him - I know its really not that often you get quality time like this and we are so grateful to out family for making it possible and making it special!

Mothers Day

I'm a little late for a Mothers Day post, but when you get to spend time with the one who taught you to be a Mom and the one who made you a Mom, you just try to soak it all up.   I'm feeling sentimental about my little boy growing up - we are on the cusp of all the big boy activities and while I love being able to have conversations with him and enjoy lots of great adventures, I sometimes miss that little snuggler that rode around in the backpack.  Good thing my boy still snuggles or I'd be really bummed.  I'm so proud of the little man that he is becoming, makes me one proud mama!

When I was a kid...

When I was a kid, my mom took me to spend time with horses, it not only brought me into a life long passion for animals and horses, it was the best kind of therapy I could ever want.  So lucky for me, our very own Auntie Sara lets us love on her horses and doesn't mind letting my little baby hang out with her babies.  Hopefully it will stick!
