A Special Visit

This week Logan and I must have been good, because we had a very special visit from Aunt Kelly Jane. We took a cruise into Portland and hit up NW 23rd street for some shopping and lunch.

Then we hit up Voodoo doughnuts... crazy and good.

Mine came with cocoa puffs on top!

Thank you my bestie for snuggling and loving on my baby! We miss you already!

Our Little Swimmer

Last weekend we took Logan swimming for the first time. It was a slow start as seen by some of our pics, but after about 5 minutes, he got the hang of things and was having a good time! We took him around the "deep end" and to check out all the fountains and bubbles, but he loved watching all the other kids splash around. It's safe to say, we have got a water baby on our hands!

7 Months

Today Logan is 7 Months old - and while I have lived everyone one of those days right along with him, I can officially say that it seems to be going quite a bit faster than before. This month was big is a few areas. Eating really took off, Logan LOVES sweet potato's, peas, bananas, pears and apples... and he doesn't really care for but still eats: carrots, squash, cauliflower and zucchini. We are mixing foods and trying new ones every week, he is very interested in watching other people eat and particularly chew anything crunchy - this makes me laugh! We also made some strides in the sleep department. However torturous it was, we decided to try crying it out. And after 3 days, Logan learned to fall asleep in his crib with no tears. As for staying there all night, we are still working on that, but hey, we like progress!

He is on the verge of sitting up and crawling - he loves to practice all of the above, so its fun to watch him scoot around the living room or his crib. He still loves being out in the world and people watching, which makes taking him places much easier on dear old mom. I know I am on the verge of a mobile baby, so I am trying to enjoy these last few moments of peace. We are also ready for some warmer weather so we can get outside more, however, I'm afraid its not in sight anytime soon up here, we might have to make another Cali trip to get some sunshine :)

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day - these showed up on my porch courtesy of my wonderful husband!

We celebrated on Sunday with a family day! And this is my lucky year, I get two valentines!

Does He Look Like Me Yet?

This is Logan and I at roughly the same age, 6.5 months - I can kinda see it, if a squint.... hmm... I think he has my ears. Well, he's super cute regardless.

First Pony Ride

Until he's big enough for a real pony, this will have to do. Salem has a riverfront carousel and Logan loved the lights and sounds! We even got to meet the man who carves the horses and get the story behind a few of the ponies.
